The HOA Pool
Now that summer's here, the community swimming pool is open. The sun is hot, the water is cold. Here's a few pictures (and a little movie):
Here's the Video clip.
This all goes to show that the H.O.A. spend our money on something more than leafleting and sending stroppy letters. It's a great facility. It makes us feel that we're constantly on holiday (vacation).

Vi,
I posted a comment here two days ago, but I must have done something wrong! Anyway, photos lok gorgeous. How wonderful having the pool facility. Is life so much better there than here??

I don't want to give the impression that life here is a lot better than in the UK -- after all, parts of Britain have their equivalent to HOA (eg. Bourneville Village Trust in Birmingham).
It's swings and roundabouts. We have a bigger house and a community pool, but we also have thunderstorms and snakes.
The other thing is that however lovely it is out here, it still isn't Britain. Even the most picturesque parts of our local area don't compare in beauty to parts of Wales, Cornwall or the Lake District (although I dare say that I am very biassed).
